This Is Your Match If…
- You want the old car gone the same day the new one arrives.
- Utah's trade-in tax advantage sounds like free money. (It kind of is.)
- Online instant offers left you suspicious — you want a human number.
- Still making payments? You want the payoff handled cleanly.
My Take, Straight Up
Trading in is the underrated power move, and Utah sweetens it: sales tax is generally calculated on the difference between the new vehicle's price and your trade's value — so a strong trade number saves you twice.
My appraisal promise is the same transparency as everything else I do: we walk your car together, I show you what the market's actually paying, and the number comes with reasons attached. If selling it yourself would genuinely net you more, I'll say so — and plenty of customers come back a week later anyway, because peace of mind has a value too.
Quick Facts
Real Questions, Real Answers
How is my trade value determined?
Market data on your exact year/trim/miles, plus honest condition — and I'll show you the comparables, not just announce a figure. You'll understand your number, agree or not.
What if I owe more than it's worth?
That's a negative-equity situation and it's common — sometimes it can be handled within the new deal, sometimes waiting is smarter. I'll show you both realities without sugarcoating either.
Should I detail the car before appraisal?
A clean car photographs and shows better, but skip paying for major work — repairs rarely return their cost at appraisal. Wash it, clear the french fries, bring the second key. That's the free-money checklist.
